High-Performance Solvent-Free Dispersion Primer

Keratrade PrimerCLEAR is a high-performance, solvent-free dispersion primer designed to enhance adhesion between absorbent substrates and cementitious levelling compounds, waterproofing membranes, and flooring preparation systems.

It regulates substrate absorption and improves bond strength prior to application of Keratrade and Kerakoll systems, forming part of the Keratrade Floor Preparation System.

Technical Data

• Coverage: approx. 12 m² per litre (substrate dependent)

• Touch Dry: 15 – 20 minutes

• Overcoat (Leveller/Waterproofing): 1 – 3 hours @ 20°C

• Application Temperature: +5°C to +35°C

• Dilution: 1 : 1 (Primer : Water), depending on substrate absorbency

Application Summary

• Substrates must be clean, dry, structurally sound and free from contaminants

• Mechanically prepare dense or contaminated surfaces where required

• Apply evenly and avoid pooling

• Highly porous substrates may require multiple coats

• Allow to dry to a clear, continuous film before overcoating

• Do not apply to substrates with standing water

• Not designed as a moisture or vapour barrier

Substrate Classification

Absorbent Surfaces:
Concrete, sand cement screeds, cement render, fibre cement sheeting, existing levellers

Dense / Low Absorbency Surfaces:
Power-trowelled concrete, mechanically prepared substrates, existing bonded coatings

Limitations

• Not a moisture or vapour barrier

• Do not apply below +5°C or above +35°C

• Protect from freezing

• Do not apply to friable or unstable substrates
