Keraprime One

Keraprime One
General-Purpose Acrylic Primer
Keraprime One is a premium, single-component, water-based acrylic primer designed to improve adhesion on both absorbent and non-absorbent substrates before the installation of self-levelling compounds, flooring adhesives, cementitious tile adhesives and compatible waterproofing membranes.
Formulated with advanced acrylic technology and a low particle size, Keraprime One provides excellent penetration, strong adhesion and high alkali resistance, creating a reliable bond between the substrate and subsequent flooring systems.
Suitable for residential and commercial applications, Keraprime One can be applied to properly prepared concrete, cement screeds, gypsum underlayments, plywood, engineered timber, existing ceramic and natural stone tiles, terrazzo, epoxy coatings and other approved substrates.
Suitable for internal and external use, Keraprime One can be diluted for absorbent surfaces or applied undiluted to non-absorbent substrates, offering versatility across a wide range of installations.
Fast drying in approximately 1–2 hours under standard conditions, Keraprime One allows subsequent materials to be installed within a 24-hour overlay window, helping reduce installation downtime.
Key Features:
General-purpose primer for absorbent and non-absorbent substrates
Single-component, water-based acrylic formulation
Excellent adhesion and deep substrate penetration
Rapid drying — approximately 1–2 hours
Suitable for internal and external applications
Can be diluted for absorbent substrates or used undiluted on non-absorbent surfaces
Suitable beneath self-levelling compounds and flooring adhesives
Compatible with approved cementitious tile adhesives and waterproofing membranes
Excellent alkali resistance
Low odour and low VOC — less than 10 g/L
Easy application by roller, broom or spray
Available in 5 kg and 20 kg pails
Coverage of approximately 35–60 m² per 5 kg pail or 140–240 m² per 20 kg pail, depending on substrate and dilution
Drying times and coverage depend on substrate porosity, dilution, temperature, humidity and site conditions. Highly porous substrates may require two coats. Apply subsequent materials within 24 hours and confirm compatibility with the selected flooring or waterproofing system. Refer to the current Technical Data Sheet for detailed preparation and application requirements.
